In this respect, ITD will have a role as a service provider to all departments at the Centre. ITD will identify plan and implement IT projects as well as support and maintain its operations on behalf of the users. This includes planning of ICT requirements, networking, data storage, data recovering system, IP PBX, Wifi and system development of computerization systems for the Centre. In implementing projects, ITD will study the requirements, design and specify the scope of work, supervise and manage the projects on behalf of the users, test and commission the system, train and support the users and also provide maintenance. Its tasks are stated below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>developing new systems for the Centre as requested by the user<\/li><li>maintaining the current and existing system for the Centre<\/li><li>improving the system from time to time<\/li><li>collaborating with main campus and other institutions<\/li><li>planning for new strategic approach and application<\/li><li>coordinate the Centre\u2019s web page committee<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Network and Security Unit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Network and Security Unit is responsible for the Internet and Virtual Private Network (VPN) at the Centre. It is designed to be the first point of contact for IT support and work towards the resolution of issues in the minimum amount of time possible to ensure that any disruptions are minimized. Keeping updated with the University email account is very important, since most correspondence and acknowledgement on service calls registered, progress and completion of your service calls is done via the University email. You should also take note on the Report Id associated with your service calls since referring to the Report ID when communicating with us on your service calls would be a lot more convenient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ITD CFS Services Help Desk<\/strong>\u00a0is located at the First Floor of Administration Building.
