Reading the text, discussing it and interpreting classic texts will be the main part of this program. To make up traditional Islamic economics both researchers and students will be striving together to understand the ideas and principles. Discussions will be conducted in English, but all texts will be read in the original Arabic to assure the most authentic knowledge of the tradition. Also, substantive texts of Qur\u2019an, Sunnah and Fiqh will be studied over the curriculum. The program is intended for those who have attained considerable knowledge of the Islamic tradition such as Arabic, Islamic law and economics.<\/p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 10px;font-family: Roboto;font-size: 14px;font-style: normal;font-weight: 400\">The proposed program will be a collaboration between KENMS Islamisation Unit and Center for Islamic Economics (CIE). The target audience will be academic staff and students of KENMS. CIE will issue certificate of participation to the participants at the end of reading sessions for each classical text. The proposed of the books for the reading session are below:<\/p><ul><li>1. Kit\u0101b al-Kasb (Book of Earning a Livelihood) by Mu\u1e25ammad ibn \u1e24asan al-Shayb\u0101n\u012b<\/li><li>2. Kit\u0101b al-Mak\u0101sib wa al-Wara\u02bf [Book of Earnings and Prudence] by \u1e24\u0101rith ibn Asad al-Mu\u1e25\u0101sib\u012b<\/li><li>3. Kit\u0101b \u0100d\u0101b al-Kasb wa al-Ma\u02bf\u0101sh [Book of the Ethics of Earning and Livelihood] &amp; Kit\u0101b al-\u1e24al\u0101l wa al-\u1e24ar\u0101m [Book of the Licit and the Illicit] by Ab\u016b \u1e24\u0101mid al-Ghazz\u0101l\u012b<\/li><li>4. Kit\u0101b al-Ish\u0101rah il\u0101 Ma\u1e25\u0101sin al-Tij\u0101rah [Book of the Guide to the Merits of Commerce] by Ab\u016b Fa\u1e0dl Ja\u02bffar ibn \u02bfAl\u012b al-Dimishq<\/li><\/ul>
