The Centre for Professional Development (CPD)<\/strong>  would like to invite all IIUM academic staff to enroll in this training, which will be held as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Topic: The Open Educational Resources & Inclusive<\/strong> Open Educational Resources Roadmap: Bridging Barriers in Education
Speaker:  Asst Prof. Dr Wirawani Kamarulzaman, Deputy Director eMCU, and <\/strong>
Asst. Prof. Dr. Sh Fatimah Alzahrah binti Syed Hussien (Deputy Dean, International institute of Islamic Thought and Civilisation, ISTAC-IIUM)<\/strong>

Programme Outcomes:<\/strong>
Upon completion of the programme, participants are expected to:
– Explain the philosophical foundation and benefits of OER in enhancing educational accessibility.
– Apply the 5R rights and Creative Commons licensing to support open educational practices.
– Analyse the critical role of inclusive OER (iOER) in addressing physical, cognitive, and technological learning barriers.
– Examine the use of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to foster equitable and inclusive curriculum design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation from administrative staff requires approval from the immediate supervisor and may register HERE<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11th August 2026 (Tuesday), before 4.00 pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants who are successfully selected will receive a confirmation email after the registration closing date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements & Benefits:<\/strong>

-Certificate of Attendance will be awarded by MEIPTA (Majlis Ketua-ketua e-Pembelajaran IPTA Malaysia).
-CTD points will be awarded to those who:
Submit the evaluation form within 24 hours
Record their attendance in i-Attend
Be present in the Zoom session for at least the required duration (as recorded in Zoom attendance logs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
