We enVision IIUM Campuses to be Sustainable and Conducive for Learning and creating a Sejahtera Community which upholds Maqasid Al-Shariah and Sustainable Development Goals in its daily life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Promoting and advancing natural and cultural heritage (indigenous people and Gombak heritage) as a subtle approach to harness the spirituality by structuring the Living Learning Lab as conceptual platform on the selected dedicated conservation and cultural areas to overcome the cross-cutting issues that hamper the local sustainability movement i.e. peace and justice, through a Quadruple Helix model of collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Long Term: -Establish and strengthen the quadruple helix model of collaborations between International Islamic University of Malaysia, Gombak Community, Gombak Industrial player, and Gombak Administrative agencies in achieving these goals; i. To build a society that is socially resilient, culturally sustainable, environmentally friendly and economically viable;<\/p>\n\n\n\n ii. To facilitate the development of regenerative heritage (Natural, man-made and cultural) through a quadruple helix model of collaboration;<\/p>\n\n\n\n iii. To establish the living-learning lab platform which addresses cross-cutting issues i.e. social, environment and economy by implementing Sustainability Science approach;<\/p>\n\n\n\n iv. To conserve the natural resources in Gombak area through the establishment of UNESCO world heritage site;<\/p>\n\n\n\n v. To upscale the local community economic and social-cultural values to promote harmonious \/ synergy society; Short Term: i. To empower the society in addressing the social, cultural, environmental and economic issues through various platform of collaborations;<\/p>\n\n\n\n ii. To establish the baseline data, heritage profile and the exhibition of the heritage in the current context;<\/p>\n\n\n\n iii. To identify the cross-cutting issues and challenges at the local level and formalize the existing natural and cultural as a structure living-learning lab for implementation of education for sustainable development, ESD;<\/p>\n\n\n\n iv. To facilitate the integration of ESD in the final dossier for the UNESCO world heritage site submission;<\/p>\n\n\n\n v.
