Fard Ain Test

🕌 Fardhu Ain Test (FAT) – Overview

The Fardhu Ain Test (FAT) is a diagnostic assessment conducted by the Credited Co-Curricular Centre (CCC), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) to evaluate students’ foundational knowledge and practice of essential Fardhu ‘Ain. The test focuses on core areas such as purification (wudhu’), prayer (solat), basic beliefs, and selected surah recitation that form the minimum religious obligations for every Muslim.

The purpose of the FAT is to identify students who may require additional guidance and structured support in fulfilling these fundamental religious duties. The test does not affect students’ CGPA. Instead, it serves as a placement mechanism to ensure students receive appropriate spiritual and formative learning support aligned with IIUM’s philosophy of Tawhidic epistemology, Maqasid Shariah, and holistic education (Insan Sejahtera).

Students who do not meet the required competency threshold will be placed into a specially designed subject, Usrah and Fardhu ‘Ain Essentials, to strengthen their understanding and practice. Students who meet the competency threshold may proceed with their prescribed co-curricular study plan.
