This is a series of video productions meticulously choreographed by Dr. Saeb and Dr. Ibraheem Barakat – the father and brother of Dr. Najieh Barakat, an alumnus of ISTAC, IIUM. The Barakats is a Palestinian family of dentists whose clinic was in the vicinity of Jerusalem old city for more than 50 years. After Dr. Saeb’s retirement, the Barakat’s family clinic, moved to the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, about 700 meters away.
OFIIR-CENTRIS is grateful to the Barakat family for allowing us to feature this soulful video series of theirs on our website. This is our gesture of acknowledgment and support on the important works done by the Barakat family. Post-retirement, Dr. Saeb and his son, Dr Ibraheem, launched a YouTube channel to share with the world the wonders, beauty, and history of al-Quds, Jerusalem. The videos feature Dr. Saeb Barakat with support of the authentic knowledge from Basheer Barakat, a Palestinian historian specialising in the history of Jerusalem and author of numerous books revealing the secrets and intricacies of this meticulously built city.
