CTAIS offers a unique platform where Artificial Intelligence is developed, governed, and applied through a Tawhidic lens; integrating ethical integrity, societal responsibility, and technological excellence to serve humanity and the Ummah. 

Currently, CTAIS operates under the Kulliyyah of Information and Communication Technology (KICT) as a strategic interim arrangement, with a planned transition to direct oversight under the Rector’s Office in the near future.

Tawhidic Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Tawhidic AI seeks to ensure that intelligent technologies serve creation rather than dominate it, guided by divine purpose, moral accountability, and human stewardship (Khalifah) with these characteristics:

  • Grounded in the Tawhidic epistemology, positioning divine unity and moral purpose at the core of development and application.

  • Seeks responsible AI development and application that embodies justice, fairness, and the common good, ensuring technology serves Allah and humanity ethically.

  • Integrates Amr bi’l-ma’ruf (enjoining good) and Nahy ‘an al-munkar (forbidding evil) as proactive moral directives guiding AI development, application, behavior and governance.
