This workshop was organized by MSD collaborated with CTAIS for teaching the admin staff for using AI tools for productivity in their daily work. Same as cohort 1, This second session is specifically dedicated to all IIUM administrative staff who were unable to attend Cohort 1.

Boosting Office Productivity using Generative AI Workshop Cohort 1/2026

The Management Services Division (MSD), in collaboration with CTAIS, successfully conducted the Boosting Office Productivity using Generative AI Workshop (Cohort 1/2026). This specialized training was tailored specifically for the administrative staff of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM/UIA), aimed at empowering them with practical AI skills to simplify, streamline, and ease their daily office tasks.

To ensure comprehensive coverage and support digital transformation across the university, this high-impact workshop is scheduled to be conducted twice, aiming to train all administrative staff at IIUM. The first cohort featured the esteemed Prof. Dr. Amelia Ritahani as the main speaker, who provided invaluable insights and hands-on guidance on integrating AI tools into modern workplace operations.

Workshop on Usage Ai for Teaching & Learning

This workshop brought together lecturers from across IIUM kulliyyahs and campuses to engage in focused discussions on the development of IIUM AI Policies. The session provided a collaborative space to examine the implications of artificial intelligence for teaching, learning, and research, and to gather cross-disciplinary perspectives on ethical use, governance, and institutional readiness. 

The outcomes contributed to a shared understanding of how AI policies can support academic integrity, innovation, and responsible adoption within IIUM.


Ministry of Home Affairs AI Symposium

12 November 2025 

CTAIS participated in the KDN AI Symposium through an IIUM booth exhibition, showcasing the Centre’s vision and ongoing work in ethical and Tawhidic approaches to artificial intelligence. The exhibition served as a platform for engagement with policymakers, academics, and industry practitioners on the role of AI in public institutions and society.

The symposium also featured Prof. Rose, Director of CTAIS, as an invited keynote speaker. Her address, AI Talent Development Towards Organisational Digital Transformation, examined how strategic AI capability building and ethical orientation are essential for sustainable digital transformation within organisations. The session highlighted the importance of aligning technological advancement with human capital development and values-driven leadership.
