IIUM AI Policy

The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) is committed to the responsible development and deployment of Artificial Intelligence in accordance with Islamic principles and values. This policy framework ensures that all AI initiatives at IIUM are aligned with Tawhidic epistemology:

Policy Principle:

• 5.1 Responsible Use: AI systems must uphold human dignity, privacy, and autonomy.
• 5.2 Transparency: AI decisions and processes must be explainable and auditable.
• 5.3 Accountability: Clear roles must be defined for oversight and redress mechanisms.
• 5.4 Inclusivity: AI must promote equitable access and avoid reinforcing bias.
• 5.5 Sustainability: AI adoption must consider environmental and social impacts.
