CPD TRAINING (EMCU): CREATING DYNAMIC MICROLEARNING VIDEOS FOR DIGITAL NATIVES

The Centre for Professional Development would like to invite all IIUM academic staff to enroll in a workshop, which will be held as follows:

Topic: Creating Dynamic Microlearning Videos for Digital Natives
Speaker: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zahari Hamidon, Head of the Centre for Learning Technology, Open University Malaysia

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

By the end of this, participants will be able to:

Define microlearning and understand how it supports learner engagement, retention, and accessibility—especially for digital natives who prefer fast, mobile-friendly content.

Describe the behaviours and expectations of today’s tech-savvy learners and learn how to align content delivery with their cognitive styles, attention spans, and digital habits.

Explain the practical strategies for chunking information into digestible segments and writing clear learning goals and structuring content that is both purposeful and engaging in a microlearning format

Use simple, beginner-friendly tools and templates, animations, and visuals effectively to communicate key messages in a short video format.
