- Coordinating and monitoring the implementation of Generic Trainings Programs in IIUM
- Assisting DD LDU in coordinating the implementation of Compulsory Training in Kuantan (for Kuantan and Gambang staff)
- Coordinating and monitoring the implementation of Collaborative Trainings Programs with other entities within and outside IIUM
The PDU’s main functions are to:
Implement Generic Training Programs: The unit is in charge of coordinating and monitoring the implementation of various generic training programs for all IIUM academic staff. These programs cover a broad range of skills (such as research, communication, productivity and others, to improve overall workplace effectiveness.
Coordinate Compulsory Training: The unit assists with the coordination of compulsory training programs for staff located at the Kuantan and Gambang campuses. This ensures that all employees, regardless of their location, have access to essential professional development opportunities.
Manage Collaborative Training: The unit is responsible for coordinating and monitoring collaborative training programs with other organizations both inside and outside of IIUM. These partnerships allow the university to leverage external expertise and resources to offer specialized training that is relevant to broader industry standards.
