BASIC TEACHING METHODOLOGY COURSE (BTMC)
This course is for newly appointed academic staff and it is compulsory for new staff. The objective for this programme are to expose participants to selected aspects of teaching methodology to make them better instructor, to heighten their knowledge, skills and attitudes towards good instructional practices and to motivate them to constantly strive for excellence in line with the University’s vision and mission.
Starting from end 2019- CPD will only receive the participant list from MSD. Kindly liaison MSD if you have any query

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR MENTOR
We would like to inform you that starting this year we are no longer using Google Forms for Teaching Observation assessment. Thus, to evaluate your mentees Teaching Observation 1 and 2, please visit our Mentor/Assessor iBTMC page. Please make sure your mentees/participants fill in their course details, teaching observation date and time using their Mentee/Participant iBTMC page, which we already emailed them regarding this.
If they do not set or schedule the date and time for the teaching observation, you will not be able to conduct or fill in your assessment. Please take note that the date of teaching observation between observations 1 and 2 must be at least 14 days in between and the maximum is 1 month.
The duration is meant to allow for teaching improvement, especially for Teaching Observation 2. If you have any questions or difficulties in accessing the above link/page please email us at btmc@iium.edu.my.
