Ma’ahad al Ummah Students Explore Academic Pathways at KENMS, IIUM

The International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), in collaboration with the Center for Islamic Economics (CIE), IIUM, welcomed a delegation from Ma’ahad al Ummah, Perak Darul Ridzuan, on 7th February 2025. This visit provided 70 students and 10 teachers with the opportunity to explore the academic programs offered by the Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS), IIUM, and gain insights into the fields of Islamic economics, finance, and entrepreneurship.

Throughout the session, students were introduced to the various departments under KENMS, including CIE and I-Taajir, both of which play key roles in promoting Islamic economic thought and business development. Additionally, the delegation learned about the mission of IIIT in advancing Islamic education and research, as well as the role of PPKIM (Persatuan Pendidikan dan Kebajikan Islam Malaysia) in supporting academic and community-driven initiatives.

This visit reflects the shared commitment of IIIT and CIE to nurturing future scholars and fostering meaningful engagement in Islamic economics and finance. We hope the students found this experience valuable and are inspired to pursue their academic journeys at IIUM.
