The learning Arabic for Qur’anic comprehension aims to empower the learners with three language competencies: linguistic, communication and cultural competence. The series is intended for adult learners who can read al-Qur’an as a minimum requirement. The series addresses the learner who has not previously learned Arabic. Thus, it starts from zero and proceeds with the learner forward. The series depends on standard Arabic language and does not use any of the colloquial Arabic dialects.

The proposed program will be a collaboration between KENMS Islamisation Unit and Center for Islamic Economics (CIE). The target audience will be administrative staff, academic staff and students of KENMS. CIE will issue certificate of participation to the participants at the end of every level.

The objective of the class is to make the learners able to participants to read/write and as well as enable him/her to understand al-Qur’an and other Arabic texts gradually.

The series consists of the following books and materials:

  • The Student’s Book (1) has two parts for the beginner level.
  • The Student’s Book (2) has two parts for the intermediate level.
  • The Student’s Book (3) has two parts for the advanced level.
  • The Student’s Book (4) has two parts for the distinguished level.
  • The Arabic at Your Hands in PDF, the Arabic at Your Hands in audio materials and PPT.
    The series is guided by the latest online teaching and learning methods using PPT and classroom exercises, provided by the Google Classroom application.
