LCHD 1201
Mandarin Language 1

Credit hours: 2
This is a Mandarin course for absolute beginners. The course
focuses on survival skills in communication primarily on listening and speaking skills,
leaving enough room for reading and writing. It connects the students with their
surroundings. At the end of the course, students should be able to use Mandarin in daily
given situations.
LCHD 2202
Mandarin Language 2

Credit hours: 2
This course is an elementary course for students of Non-Mandarin
Speakers. The emphasis is on the communicative skills of Speaking and Listening, leaving
enough room for reading and writing. It connects the students with their surroundings. At
the end of the course, students should be able to use Mandarin in daily given situations.

Mandarin Language 3

Credit hours: 2
This course is an elementary course for learners of Non-Chinese
Speakers. The course focuses on the development of aural and oral skills. Learners take
an active role in creating opportunities in the classroom to practise what they are taught.
At the end of the course students should be able to use Mandarin in given situations.
