i-Taajir is a program implemented by the Centre of Islamic Economics and Management Sciences. it is an entrepreneurship development program that aims to set up a formal business entity (equipped with other necessary skills) from an already existing microentrepreneurs who are currently doing it informally.

In previous cycle of i-Taajir, the program offered micro-financing schemes to microentrepreneurs. In the latest cycle, this program has now changed the schemes into micro grant award to the successful microentrepreurs.

PROGRAM BIMBINGAN USAHAWAN i-TAAJIR

Program Bimbingan Keusahawan i-Taajir 3.0 was established in April 2018 as a strategic initiative under the purview of the Centre for Islamic Economics (CIE), Kuliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Conceived with the objective of bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical entrepreneurial application, the programme was designed to address the pressing needs of micro-entrepreneurs, particularly those within the B40 demographic.

Since its launch, the programme has channeled a cumulative fund of RM537,000 toward the financing of viable business projects. These funds have been strategically allocated to participants who demonstrate both entrepreneurial potential and commitment to the programme’s structured mentorship framework.
