APPLICATION FOR  CONFERENCE REGISTRATION FEE CLAIM FOR PAPER PRESENTATION IN MALAYSIA

Kindly provide the following documents:
1. Confirmation slip of the application form submission
2. Latest partial transcript or progress report
3. Latest financial statement
4. Acceptance letter from the conference organiser
5. Copy of the full paper
6. Verification or Recommendation from the Supervisor
7. Payment transaction receipt and official receipt issued by the conference (must clearly indicate the applicant’s name)

 

Note:
 
  • The applicant must submit the official receipt of the fee(s) charged to CPS  for reimbursement within three (3) months after the event.

  • The applicant MUST present a paper in a conference with proceedings indexed in Scopus/Web of Science (WoS)/MyCITE

APPLICATION FOR  INDEXED JOURNAL PUBLICATION FEE CLAIM

Kindly provide the following documents:
1. Confirmation slip of the application form submission
2. Latest partial transcript or progress report
3. Latest financial statement
4. Acceptance letter from the journal
5. Copy of the full paper
6. Verification or Recommendation from the Supervisor
7. Payment transaction receipt and official receipt issued by the publisher (must clearly indicate the applicant’s name)
8. Evidence that the journal is indexed in Scopus/Web of Science (WOS)/MyCite

 

Note:
 
  • The applicant must submit the official receipt of the fee(s) paid to CPS  for reimbursement within three (3) months after the publication or acceptance of the paper.
  • The paper MUST be accepted or published in a journal indexed in Scopus/Web of Science (WoS)/MyCite

APPLICATION FOR  CPS-RMC PUBLICATION INCENTIVES 2026

The CPS–RMC Publication Incentives 2026 is offered to encourage postgraduate students to publish in reputed journals indexed in Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus. Please note that the incentive amount approved by the Centre for Postgraduate Studies (CPS) and the Research Management Centre (RMC) is RM250.00 only. The followings are the criteria for consideration:-

1. The incentive is open to full-time or part-time postgraduate students of IIUM.
2. Applicants must be registered students during the application period.
3. The applicant’s affiliation stated in the paper must be IIUM.
4. The applicant must submit the verification form (form available on the CPS website)
5. The paper must be indexed in Web of Science (WoS) or Scopus, verified by the supervisor/lecturer* author.
6. The published paper must include the name of the respective IIUM supervisor/lecturer* as a co-author.
7. The student must fulfil one of the following authorship roles:
–   Student as the first (main) author, or
–   Student as the corresponding author, where the supervisor/lecturer* is the first (main) author.
8. Only papers published in 2026 will be eligible. Papers accepted in 2026 but published later are also eligible. Applications may be submitted once the formal acceptance notification has been received from the journal.
9. The applicant must submit proof of acceptance verified by the supervisor/lecturer* co-author.

 

Note:

For students who do not have an appointed supervisor, an IIUM academic staff must be included as a co-author and will act as the verifying author.

CPS BUDIMAN TRAVELGRANT: ATTENDING OVERSEAS CONFERENCE/ SYMPOSIUM/ SEMINAR/ WORKSHOP/ COLLOQUIUM

 
** Kindly be advised that if a paper is accepted for conference presentation but the CPS Budiman Travel Grant is not approved, CPS will not be responsible for covering any related expenses. We encourage applicants to plan accordingly.

IIUM POSTGRADUATE UMMATIC SCHOLARSHIP

Take the next step in your academic journey with the IIUM Postgraduate Ummatic Scholarship. This prestigious opportunity is open to outstanding international students who aspire to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the International Islamic University Malaysia.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to prospective full-time PhD International students who will enrol in Semester 1, 2026/2027 at IIUM

  • Minimum CGPA of 3.70 (or equivalent) in Bachelor’s degree AND for Master’s qualification:

    • Coursework mode: Minimum CGPA of 3.70 (or equivalent)

    • Research / Mixed mode: Minimum CGPA of 3.70 (for mixed mode), with a good publication record

  • The applicant for the fast-track programme (direct entry from Bachelor’s to PhD) must demonstrate proven research capability through publications

  • The applicant must not exceed 30 years of age at the time of application

  • The applicant must produce evidence of IELTS score of at least 6.5 OR TOEFL 73-93 (internet based) OR have previously graduated from IIUM

  • The applicant must not receive any other scholarship or financial award

  • The applicant should demonstrate high commitment to Islamic values and manifest leadership potential

Scholarship Conditions and Expected Deliverables

  • The continuation of this scholarship is subject to semesterly evaluation based on satisfactory research progress and academic performance.

  • Recipients of the IIUM Postgraduate Ummatic Scholarship for International PhD Students are required to:

  1. Graduate within the specified Graduation on Time (GOT) period as defined by the Centre for Postgraduate Studies (CPS), IIUM. Any delay beyond the 9th semester may result in a penalty being imposed on the recipient.

  2. Demonstrate commitment to research excellence by publishing a minimum of four (4) indexed high impact journal papers.

  3. Contribute actively to university programmes and community engagement initiatives.

  4. Starting from the second year of your academic studies, participate in the annual Postgraduate Colloquium and Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition organised by CPS, IIUM.
