There are 17 Mahallah in Gombak Campus that accommodate about 17,000 students. RSD also provide room rental for IIUM Students (for short term period), Non-IIUM Students, Alumni and Public based on room availability. A) Mahallah Application
New students who wish to stay in on campus accommodation (hostel/ mahallah) are to apply via iMaalum through Mahallah Online Application (MOA) at the following link https://imaluum.iium.edu.my/mahallah-online

Mahallah application will be revoked for late registration without prior notification once the semester has begun. Change of Mahallah/ room is not allowable for first year students unless with valid medical reason.

B) Authorised Electrical Appliances at Mahallah
The Mahallah fee charged is inclusive of the electrical appliances fee for one regular semester and staying for more than half of the semester is considered staying for the whole semester and refund is not applicable. Registration after mid semester break will be treated as rental and charging is on a daily/ monthly basis which payment has to be made in advance.
The electrical appliances fee is applicable for the authorised electrical items as follows:
1. Automatic Kettle
2. Set of Personal Computer with Printer/ Laptop
3. One Power Extension and Charger for Laptop/ Phone/ Tab
4. Hair Dryer
5. Iron
6. Toaster
Other than the above electrical items are considered illegal/unauthorized electrical appliances and subject to compoundable offence.
