Session between the Director (Administration), Facilities and Services Department, Zelan AM Services and all cafeteria operators at the Centre for Foundation Studies, IIUM Gambang, Kuantan, Pahang Darul Makmur
Recently, on 18th and 19th July 2024, the Centre for Foundation Studies IIUM or better known as CFS received a large number of student enrollment which is the first time in history in the CFS IIUM Gambang Campus. More than 5,000 students had enrolled and 4,000 students are in Gambang. Therefore, all the cafeterias have to operate at full capacity to cater the need of students and staff.
A large number of students therefore may result in a number of cases related to food and drinks issues. Thus, the Centre Management Members has agreed for a session between the CFS Management and all the business owners. This session was chaired by the Director of Administration, Mr. Mohd. Danial bin Jamaludin, assisted by the Head of the Facilities and Services Department, Mr. Abu Bakar bin Omar and the Senior Assistant Administrative Officer, Madam Zaireen Zalinashila binti Uyub. Mr. EB Qzaihadi on the other hand had represented Zelan Am Services.
The session was held on 29th August 2024 at the Meeting Room 1, Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (ABAS) building and participated by 15 cafeteria owners at CFS IIUM. The session was very fruitful and enlightening to all participants on the issue of food preparation, quality as well as on cleanliness of the cafeteria. It was the first time of its kind to be held in CFS thus it has increased the level of cooperation and understanding between all parties involved at the Centre for Foundation Studies, IIUM.
