Talk: CIE–IIIT: Tafseer of the Ayaat of Fasting from Surah Al-Baqarah

The Centre for Islamic Economics (CIE), KENMS – IIUM, in collaboration with the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), successfully hosted the International Intellectual Discourse Series Online (IIDSO) No. 62 on 10 March 2026 at the Ibn Sina Presentation Room, KENMS – IIUM.
The session, titled “Tafseer of the Ayaat of Fasting from Surah Al‑Baqarah”, was delivered by Prof. Dr. Jasser Auda, Professor Fellow at IIUM. The discourse explored Qur’anic insights on fasting, highlighting spiritual, ethical, and social dimensions of Ramadan.
The event attracted active participation from IIUM academics, students, and guests, both onsite and via Zoom. It concluded with a pleasant iftar session that encouraged meaningful reflection and strengthened the spirit of brotherhood among attendees.
