Mahallah is a student residential college at the Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS), Gambang & Kuantan Campus, providing a safe, conducive, and well-structured living environment that supports the academic and personal development of foundation students.
Students’ residential colleges at the Centre for Foundation Studies, IIUM are known as Mahallah. The term of Mahallah refers to a place that is designed to be self-contained, providing not only services but also various activities for students. IIUM names its Mahallah after the prominent companions of the Prophet S.A.W., as well as female Mujahidah and Syuhada. There are 6 Mahallah in Gambang Campus that accomodate about 4,500 students. 2 Mahallah in Kuantan Campus that accomodate about 1,200 students.
