Idayu Mumtaz binti Iskandar currently serves as the administrative officer assigned to the Sustainable Campus Unit while covering for the UNESCO Chair Secretariat at Sejahtera Centre for Sustainability and Humanity.
She received her Bachelor’s degree (honours) from IIUM, majoring in Usul Al-Din dan Comparative Religion and minoring in Economics. She joined the students’ council (which later became a students’ union) for two consecutive years since 2018 as the Academic and Intellectual Secretariat and later Vice President.
She previously acted as the executive director of IIUM Brilliance Interview Series 2019 and contributed as a co-author in books namely ‘Student Union: Generasi Baharu Gerakan Mahasiswa’ and ‘Staying Safe and Staying Sane: Reflections during Covid-19 Pandemic’, respectively published by Ilham Books and the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS, IIUM).
