The Sejahtera Centre for Sustainability and Humanity (SC4SH), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), in collaboration with CENSERVE organised an engaging session on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), connecting sustainability values with meaningful action.

The session explored “Implementing Education for Sustainable Development (ESD): Global Perspectives and Future Directions,” offering students valuable insights into global sustainability challenges, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and UNESCO’s vision for advancing ESD.
With 30 IIUM students participating, the session encouraged reflection on how young people can turn sustainability knowledge into action through education, innovation, community engagement and responsible everyday practices.
The programme also highlighted the role of higher education in nurturing sustainability-minded future leaders and strengthening students’ capacity to contribute meaningfully to their communities and a more sustainable future.
